I’m so excited to see the Pretoria schedule for the coming weeks! It’s a kaleidoscope of markets filled with local products, delicious food & drinks, art & craft and a whole lot of music!
Tuesday saw the opening of Kamers vol Geskenke in Irene: a selection of the best originally designed wares, from jewellery, gourmet food products, ceramics and soft furnishings, to décor accessories, garden gear, designer clothing and accessories from carefully selected, local talent. All under one roof.
The Mzansi Fela Festival at the State Theater is a culture-explosion featuring local music, theatre, dance, comedy and poetry talents. The festival is a platform for up ad coming artists, but also features heavy-weights such as the Parlotones and Lira.
And on Saturday 7 December, market-goers will have their schedule full with the premier of the Urban Capital Market, which promises to become Pretoria’s very own Neighbourgoods Market. It forms part of the Cool Capital citizen-driven initiative to revitalise and restore the inner city. In the evening, there is Hazel Food Market’s Candlelight Market where you can step into a magical atmosphere created by thousands of fairy lights with a wonderful smell of food filling the air and plenty to entertain the kids.
Christmas has come early to Pretoria! So go on, knock yourself out and before you know it you will be through the last stretch before summer holiday!
